Transaction (Process ID 20) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.

SQL server handles the deadlock processes. You need to determine within your code what is causing the issue. A major insert/update occuring when someone else is trying to read the table? Something along those lines. Use begin tran and commit to be sure you're pushing your changes to the DB as qucikly as possible.
